When I use Karaoke builder on my Windows machine, it opens both the mp3 piano and the written words. is there a way for it to open the mp3 melody track as well. All three together.?
or can I open the melody and and piano together?

I also use a Mac, and on that computer, I cannot get anything to open with anything else. The piano track opens in ITunes and the written text that you provide open in a program called VLC, and the two tracks do not sync.

I read your instructions for using a Mac, but once I got to that site that you suggested, all of the programs, run only on Windows.

Any suggestions?

Regarding your first question, basically you need to create a new mp3 file with the tracks you want to ear, you can follow this simple tutorial:
https://opera-karaoke.com/audio_mixdown.html

If you use a Mac there are these programs for reproducing Karaoke files:

Kjams Lite https://karaoke.kjams.com/
QMidi http://www.mixagesoftware.com/
