Learning method with Opera-Karaoke.
If you are a professional classical singer or a student hoping to be one, Opera-karaoke proposes to you this guide for learning correctly the most famous operatic arias.
First of all, buy and download the "professional pack" of the operatic aria you want to learn (or, as a demo, download for free an aria from our Freesamples page) and unzip it in a directory of your choice (usually the "documents" directory or the "desktop"). You will have at your disposal 3 audio files: the Piano accompaniment track, the vocal line track and the diction track plus the file .cdg for the karaoke.
Run your favorite multitrack audio editing program (if you don't have one, download and install Audacity
which is free and has all the functionalities that you need).
From the main window of Audacity, import the 3 audio tracks you have downloaded: our downloadable piano accompaniment track, the vocal line track and the diction track.
(In the Audacity window, go to the menu "Project/Import Audio" and select the track you want to import, repeat the same procedure for the two others tracks).
At this point your screen should appear like this:

In the box to the left of the audio track, there is a "Mute" button. If you select/unselect will be played or not. Below the "mute" button there is a
little slide with the + e - signs: if you move the slide you increase/decrease the track's volume.
You can begin to listen to the piano accompaniment track toghether with the vocal line track (for doing this the "diction track" Mute button has to be selected) and listen to it a few times until you
feel confident with the melody.

After that, when you feel secure, you can start to concentrate yourself on the pronunciation. To do this, unmute the "diction track", leaving active the piano accompaniment track (the Mute button of this track has to be inactive).
Now, you are ready to start the performance of your operatic aria; you must use a program which is able to manage cdg files.
Execute this program, open the file with the .cdg extension and regulate the volume of your speakers and follow the text that will appear on your screen!
